"My mother came from Eagle Pass, Texas and we know great enchildas.
Yours are exceptional."

I first tasted Tuldys tortilla soup at a fancy food show/ fund
raiser in Dallas, Texas. I did not believe the server that the soup
she served was from a mix. When she showed me the Tuldys mix, I
bought several on the spot.
When I returned home to Cleveland, Ohio I tried the mix on some
of my food-snobby friends. They expect nothing less from me than
fresh, homemade, delicious food. I had run out of time to create
dinner, so I tried the mix. They all loved it! After their reviews,
I admitted that the soup was a mix. Most of them took down the information
and ordered several of your products for themselves.
When food snobs order mixes, you know youve done it right.

I recently did a commercial chili cook-off using every
mix I could find at local stores. This included the old Terlinguia
era stuff- Fowlers and Shelbys- new- Jardines and Willies- and McCormicks
and Lowerys. And Tuldys. I did both stock and
modified divisions, and Tuldys won across the board! Everyone
who sampled preferred Tuldys. Ive just received my recent
order ( super fast shipping-Thanks! ) and will try the enchilada
sauce this week. Great stuff!

| I can't believe I waited this long to tell you (because I've been
telling everyone else), but you rule! I don't know where to begin...I guess
with the enchilada sauce. Wow! Best freakin' enchiladas I've had in years.
And the salsa mix...awesome! I really like your Chilies knockoff too.
Muchas gracias for the all-purpose seasoning, I haven't found a bad use for
it yet. We're going to try the fajita seasoning and your pinto bean recipe
later this week. I feel quite certain that I will not be let down.
Expect another order soon!

TEXMEX. You won't find a sous chef
in the kitchen, and Julia Child won't be doing a ten part series on
it.
It's "South Texas peasant food", but if you love it like I
do, that doesn't matter!
| Hey texmex fans! Weve gone from a slap you in the
face shopping cart, to informative, fun, recipe filled internet
site! I have an
extensive library of texmex cookbooks so I feel I can answer any
questions you have. I have also been cooking texmex for 25 years,
so I have a little background in the subject. I have also won more
national awards in the field of texmex cooking than anyone around.
So Im up for the challenge, ask me anything, Im a parent,
and if I cant answer the question right now, Ill find
the answer. |

Being raised in central Texas, I know its common for a
family to have a night out at their favorite Mexican food restaurant.
Its kind of a weekly ritual. Being on a first name basis
with the owner is nothing uncommon. But cooking equally good Mexican
food at home has always been the hard thing to do. Until now.
The sauces, especially the enchilada sauce, couldnt be duplicated
at home. Home cooks have tried for decades to duplicate the mystery
of that wonderful sauce. Ive been cruising the internet
lately, looking at whats offered in the way of texmex cuisine
and have seen enchilada sauce recipes that call for things as
strange as CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP! Give me a break! I promise
your favorite restaurant enchiladas arent made with cream
of mushroom soup. I developed the ONLY true to central Texas texmex
enchilada sauce and I have the awards to prove it.

Consider this TEXMEX 101. With a few basic ingredients and our
recipes you will be able to duplicate or better anything on the
menu of your favorite texmex restaurant. Keep in mind, this is
peasant food. Uncomplicated, unsophisticated, but oh so delicious.
Ive heard people say they cant eat Mexican food because
its too spicy. Wrong! I dont know where theyre
eating but in my favorite texmex haunts the only thing spicy is
the hot sauce. The rest of the meal is fairly bland, ( but delicious!)
you control the heat with the amount of sauce you personally add.
You will find authentic recipes for the following: enchiladas,
tacos, Spanish rice, beans of all kinds, quesadillas, taquitos,
salsas, tortilla soup, chili (yes, it is texmex!), burritos, fajitas,
guacamole, chile con queso, migas, eggs
Mexicana, and nachos done our way. Youll get a short history
lesson with most main dishes and tons of cooking tips to simplify
preparation. This is a site for people who love to create delicious
food but keep in mind, if youre the type to microwave frozen
dinners, this may not be your cup of tea. These recipes involve
you, the cook. Some are simple, some are more complicated. But
you can do it! No one ever fails this course! How many times did
we hear that in college? So take a look around. Read the recipes.
Ask questions. Have fun.
20 national awards and counting! Check out the only texmex website
you'll need at www.tuldys.com
